I recently stumbled upon three wonderful sites today after searching online about food cost. (No worries folks, I am okay on the food cost front, but I feel it is important to keep up on the methods out there.)
Food Cost Control – The site is a wonderful mix of all things food costs. Joe Dunbar looks as if he has his stuff together, and his theory on food cost tracking is spot on. The site is my first go-to site.
Professional Catering – Also by Joe Dunbar, the site focuses on the catering side. A plethora of good tips about catering, which is VASTLY different than restaurants.
Food Margin – A beautiful, understated site on food costing. Plenty of theory and case studies to go around. The site itself is spartan, trimmed down, and also what you would expect from someone concerned about excess. A definate must read.
