Happy Father’s Day!
Yes, this father is working on Father’s day. The day is not even close compared to what Mother’s day is like in a restaurant. You could almost hear a pin drop.
Days like today make me happy that I have a child who loves and adores me. Yesterday was Loo’s birthday party, (pictures to come, I hope!) and I spent a good portion of it barbecuing like mad, running around playing host to a good sized crowd.
The best part of the day was when I was holding my son in the swimming pool, and him kicking his legs and flapping his arms. Then he called me his super hero.
That is what Father’s day is all about.
I am so blessed to be a father, so really, while this day is supposed to be mine, I thank everything that is good that I have the privilege of being a father.

I made Eggs Benedict for my hubby this morning (used zucchini pancakes as the base instead of English muffins – it was wonderful!) and we’re grilling ribs for dinner, with some broccoli or sweet potato salad. Yum!
@Jan – What a lucky man! The benedict that you did sounds deliscious! Ribs are most definately my style as well. Well done! I’m coming over! LOL
