There is nothing like a good set of music to get you up and cooking. It is different for everyone out there.

For me, it depends on the time of day, and what I am preparing.

Below is a list of what I listen to (With some Youtube links!) in each situation:

Prepping M.E.P:

Raining Blood by Slayer – Okay, it is a pretty heavy tune, but it keeps the crew going!
Fuel by Metallica – It is hard not to get going with this tune in the background!
Killing in the Name Of by Rage Against the Machine – It is hard to NOT get up and go with Rage!

In the Home Kitchen

So Much to Say by Dave Matthews Band – What a soothing sound. Great for background when there is family around.
Athair Ar Neamh by Enya – Who can argue with this soothing music?
Carlos Santana et Buddy Guy - What can I say? Jazz music soothes and smoothes. Great for those dishes that require attention!

As you can see, the music I listen to at work differs from that at home. Part of it is because I am pretty sure the wife would not appreciate Slayer – the other part is cooking at home is relaxing.
How about you? What is your favorite music to cook to?
