a photo of a couple of sprigs of rosemary

Do you have a favorite herb?

Have you ever found that you use a herb over and over again?

I love rosemary. It is simply one of the best herbs out there. I even had it worked into my corsage for my wedding. How is that for a dedicated fan? For those of you inclined, there is even a Facebook Fan page for the herb.

I find that I use a lot of the herb. I have heard others have complaints about the over-use of the herb, but I  have no problems with it.

The feel of a freshly bruised rosemary branch is second to none; the smell of the oils it gives off are very dramatic.

Indeed, I could use this herb in almost all my dishes. (Where it belongs of course – no rosemary oatmeal or something crazy like that.)

Do you have a go-to herb you use a lot? Tell me in the comments section!

Basil. Sweet basil, lemon basil, thai basil…

But rosemary is also gooooood, and tarragon, too. I’ll be sprinkling tarragon all over my roasted chicken this evening.

@Jan – Oh, that sounds so good. If there is one thing that I like in the universe, it is roasted chicken!

Rosemary is wonderful. I pruned my rosemary bushes today and my hands smelled great for hours.

@LPC – True that! I must say that is one of my greatest joys of owning the rosemary bush before it met it’s accidental demise…

@Sudeep – Nice article. I love ginger as well. I love it so much, it became a staple in my chicken stock!
