Here I am with yet another podcast. I promise that it is more child friendly than the last one. The intensity is sill there though.
I am looking into using Adobe Premiere Elements to bring you a video podcast. What do you all think about that?
7 ingredients to make your family rave
For those of you that like to have it, here is the recipe:
Sweet Potato and Corn Chowder
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 1 onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 knob butter (25 grams)
- 1 sweet potato, peeled and cut into chunks
- water to cover by 1 inch
- 100 grams (1 cup) frozen corn kernels (the best you can buy)
- Salt
- Freshly cracked black pepper
Method:
- Sweat onion with butter over medium heat.
- Add sweet potato; cook for a few minutes.
- Add salt and pepper to draw out the moisture for sweating.
- Add water; cover and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add corn, cover and simmer until the potatoes are cooked and tender. (A knife will easily glide through the potatoes. If not, continue cooking.)
- Blitz the mixture with the aid of a hand blender. (Or use a blender if you don’t own a hand blender or like messy cleanups.)
- Strain the mixture through a fine chinois. (Skip this step if you want… I just like smooth and silky.)
- Ladle up the soup and serve to your adoring family.
There is no picture of the soup… in my belly, see!
Do you have any ideas for soup that follows the seasons? Do you like the podcast? I would love to hear about it in the comments!
